Prince Harry ‘unhappy’ with Meghan Markle’s odd move after major setback
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, celebrating their seventh wedding anniversary this week, are once again under scrutiny for sending mixed signals about the privacy of their children, Prince Archie, 6, and Princess Lilibet, 3.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have long maintained a strict boundary when it comes to public exposure of their children. Since stepping back from royal duties in 2020, they have shared only carefully curated images of Archie and Lilibet—typically from behind or in profile, with faces obscured.
The only full photo previously released was of Lilibet on her first birthday. Beyond that, the couple have consistently avoided revealing the children’s faces, citing significant security concerns, told Daily Express.
However, a recent move by Meghan appears to contrast with this long-held stance. In a heartfelt anniversary tribute, she shared a never-before-seen image of Archie tenderly kissing Lilibet on the forehead in front of a Christmas tree. Though the photo was still somewhat private, the intimate nature of the moment and its timing raised eyebrows.
The release follows Prince Harry’s third failed attempt to secure UK police protection for his family, a legal battle that has deeply affected the Duke. He previously stated he “can’t see a world in which [he] would bring [his] wife and children back to the UK at this point,” highlighting his fears for their safety.
An insider close to the couple expressed concern about the direction the Sussexes are taking. “Harry and Meghan have gone to great lengths to protect the kids—they rarely take them out in public places, and it’s just a bit odd that photos are starting to come out now, when they are more recognisable,” the source said.
They also speculated about the motivation behind Meghan’s decision to share the image. “If they weren’t [on the photo board], would anyone be interested?” the insider asked. “Harry is all about protecting his kids, so I can’t imagine he will be happy with this.”
The couple’s contrasting approaches could be seen as a reflection of ongoing tension between their public image and private values. As they continue to navigate life outside the royal family, public interest in their children remains high, placing even greater pressure on the boundaries they try to uphold.
While Meghan’s post was warmly received by many fans, it has reignited the debate over celebrity privacy and whether the Sussexes are shifting their stance—or simply struggling to find a consistent approach in a world that watches their every move.
