Heartbroken Mum Vows to ‘Go to the Ends of the Earth’ for Missing Teen

The mother of missing Falkirk teenager Cole Cooper has made an emotional appeal, vowing she will not rest until her 19-year-old son is found, more than three weeks after he was last in contact with his family.

Cole, from the Banknock area, was officially reported missing on Friday, May 9. However, his last known communication with loved ones was on Sunday, May 4, after attending a party in Denny. A disturbing video later surfaced showing him running through the Cumbernauld Road area, appearing “spooked” after leaving the gathering.

Despite an intensive ongoing search involving police, family members, and hundreds of volunteers, Cole has yet to be found.

On Tuesday, May 27, his devastated mother Wendy Stewart took to social media to share a heartfelt plea:
“We are now in day 23, my boy ain’t home, there is no words for me to describe right now how I feel. All I want is my boy home.”

She continued,
“Please help me bring my boy home. My heart is broken, so I’m reaching out again to everyone. I am not going to stop until my boy is home. I will go to the end of this earth if I have to. Just please help me find my son and bring him home.”

Wendy had previously issued a public statement through Police Scotland, describing her emotional numbness but thanking all those involved in the search efforts. She also pleaded with her son directly to make contact.

Police Scotland received a report that Cole may have been seen around 7pm on Wednesday, May 7, near the A803 Glasgow/Kilsyth Road at the junction with Cumbernauld Road in Banknock. However, the family has expressed skepticism over the sighting, which reportedly came from an unnamed “associate.” They’ve also voiced concerns over delays in the police investigation and are urging officers to obtain CCTV footage to verify the claim.

On May 24, a large-scale volunteer search took place, with around 200 people combing fields and woodlands. Cole’s aunt, Aimee Tennie, later thanked the volunteers in a Facebook post, writing:
“There are no words to express our gratitude. We counted over 200 amazing souls who came together to look for our Cole.”

Specialist resources, including police helicopters, drones, and divers from the Dive and Marine Unit, have been deployed as part of the search. Divers focused their efforts in a canal near where Cole was last seen, with police advising volunteers to avoid the area during their investigation.

Cole is described as approximately 5ft 10in tall, of medium build, with short brown hair. He was last seen wearing a black puffer jacket and black jogging bottoms. He has known connections to Denny, Cumbernauld, and Paisley.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Police Scotland, quoting incident number 828 of 9 May 2025.
