Mum of Four Jailed After Hiding Two Kinder Eggs Inside Her Body

A mother of four has been sentenced to three years in prison after attempting to smuggle dozens of MDMA tablets into Creamfields music festival in Daresbury last August.

Sian Bullock, 35, from Thornton-Cleveleys, was caught on 26 August 2023 after a sniffer dog indicated the presence of drugs as she entered the north gate of the festival grounds. She was escorted to a private area by security personnel and officers for further investigation, Chester Crown Court heard.

Once in the private search area, Bullock admitted to concealing two Kinder Egg containers inside her vagina. These were later found to contain a total of 64 MDMA tablets. During questioning, she claimed she did not know exactly what the drugs were but admitted she had obtained them for personal use.

Despite her explanation, prosecutors charged her with possession with intent to supply Class A drugs—an offence that carries a significant custodial sentence. Bullock appeared in court on 16 May and pleaded guilty to the charge.

At the sentencing hearing, the judge acknowledged Bullock’s guilty plea and her responsibilities as a mother to four children but said the seriousness of the offence left no room for leniency. “You knew your actions were illegal,” the judge said, as reported by Lancs Live. “Imprisonment is the only appropriate sentence.”

Following the sentencing, Police Constable Lisa Green of Cheshire Constabulary commented on the broader efforts by law enforcement and event organizers to maintain safety during the popular music festival.

“Every year, we and the Creamfields events and security teams do our utmost to ensure that everyone attending the festival can have a safe and enjoyable time, and for the most part festivalgoers have respected the laws,” she said.

“Bullock will have no doubt been aware of these laws and the restrictions at Creamfields and would have had ample opportunity to re-think her actions before it was too late, with amnesty bins and surrender points placed at all festival entries. But she decided to run the risk—which did not pay off.”

PC Green emphasized the real-life consequences of such decisions: “As a result of her selfish actions that day, she is now behind bars and her four children will now be without their mother for a considerable period of time.”

She concluded with a warning to others: “Anyone who, like Bullock, decides to risk bringing illegal drugs into Cheshire should seriously reconsider their choices, as we will always take swift and robust action, and they will be dealt with to the full extent of the law.”
