14-Year-Old Boy Kills Entire Family After Shocking Discovery About His ‘Mum’s’ Identity

A quiet teenager wiped out his entire family in a horrifying act that shocked the entire country, and many believe it all started when he discovered the truth about his mum.

Mason Sisk was just 14 when he shot and killed his father, stepmother, and three young siblings in their home in a small Alabama town back in 2019, according to PEOPLE. The case has only grown more disturbing with each detail revealed during his trial. Mason was described by the judge as being “draped in unmitigated evil” after calmly carrying out the cold-blooded murders.

The family had just returned from a trip to Florida on September 2. That night, at around 11pm, Sisk rang 911 claiming he had heard gunshots while playing video games in the basement. He told the dispatcher he saw a vehicle driving away. But when police arrived, it was clear something didn’t add up, reports the Mirror.

Inside the house, his father John, 38, his stepmum Mary, 35, and his siblings Grayson, six, Aurora, four, and baby Colson, just six months old, had all been shot in the head. Grayson and John were still alive but died shortly after being rushed to hospital. The others were pronounced dead at the scene.

At first, Mason stuck to his story, but officers were suspicious. One bodycam clip from the night even shows an officer saying he seemed “a little fishy”. Eventually, he cracked and admitted what he’d done. He even helped officers locate the murder weapon – a gun he’d stolen during the family holiday in Florida.

There were rumours at the time that Mason had only recently discovered Mary wasn’t his biological mother. Some reports claimed he’d just found out, while others said he’d known for years. Regardless, Mary had raised him since he was four, treating him no differently from her biological children. She even described herself as having “four beautiful children” on her teaching profile.

During questioning, Sisk told officers he was “fed up” with the family arguing and fighting. He showed no emotion and even apologised, not for what he did, but for lying to police. While awaiting trial, his probation officer noted that he’d never once mentioned his family or shown any remorse.

He was too young at the time of the murders to face the death penalty, but the brutality of the crime meant he was tried as an adult. The first trial in 2022 ended in a mistrial after new evidence from Mary’s phone was recovered. The second trial resumed this year, and prosecutors painted a picture of a cold, calculated killer with serious anger issues.

In April, Mason was convicted on four counts of capital murder. During sentencing, heartbreaking statements were read out, including one from Mary’s brother Douglas who said, “You were accepted into our family. A whole family has been lost. I lost my sister Mary. She loved you and you killed her.”

It was also revealed that Mason had sent disturbing messages from prison to his girlfriend, claiming he was “good with a gun” and saying he wanted to be a contract killer. Shockingly, he had called her four times before contacting emergency services that night.

Now 18, Mason has been sentenced to life in prison with no chance of parole. The judge made it clear there was no sign of mental illness and called the killings “ghastly, disturbing and draped in unmitigated evil”.
